On May 11, misoft systems joined Habitat for Humanity’s building site to contribute with funds and volunteer work on building a new home for a disadvantaged family. 24 misoft systems employees participated to the Builtz Build, alongside with experienced constructors and volunteers from other companies, to build the house for Andronesi family. The event celebrated 10 year anniversary since Habitat for Humanity is present in Cluj. The Builtz Build ends today, May 15, when Andronesi family is able to move in their new home and start a happier, more secure life. misoft systems considers that after 5 years since we are active in the IT field, it is important to assume a responsible and active role in the community. Social involvement is still new for us, but we wish to be actively involved in projects that bring benefits to Cluj community.

During the event, misoft volunteers helped the best they could to build a home for Andronesi family. It was also a great opportunity for a team building exercise outside the office, and a chance to see how wooden cartons nailed together by the volunteers can radically change the life of other people. “it seemed unique, I had never heard of volunteering work that builds homes. The fact that the result was an actual house build from scratch in just ten days raised my enthusiasm and energy level. The day spent on the site was pleasant, productive and went very fast.
